What is Lady health visitor?

Lady health visitors (LHVs), as a specific cadre of health care provider, have existed in Pakistan since 1951. They provide a variety of services to urban and rural communities, including basic nursing care, maternal child health services, and training of community workers.
The LHV programme is a model programme aims to develop female healthcare professionals who can play a particularly important role in providing variety of primary health care services to the people mainly mothers and children of urban and rural communities including training of Community Health Workers, preventing diseases, promoting and maintaining health of the population across the country.

Resposibilities

1)providing delivery of healthcare services at the field sites and record keeping on a regular basis planning and organizing every record
2)facilitating all the research activities, including household visits and data collection assisting in all the activities related to restructuring and upgrading of the field sites including management of electronic medical records
3)Collaborating with Community Based Organizations for field-based activities and in organizing various health awareness sessions and social development activities in the different areas of visiting
4)Compiling and submitting monthly/weekly based record to supervisor.

Eligibility criteria

Matric Science or Equivalent with 45% Marks, Age up to 30 Years (Only Female)

Fees Structure

1)Admission Fee: 35thousand.
2)Monthly Fee: 8thousand.
3)Form Processing Fee: 3thousand.
